PhD Students - BITE
Biography
Lize De Bauw studied Biomedical Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. During her master’s degree, she completed a one-year internship at the Biology of the Testis (BITE) lab, where she investigated the potential of testicular organoids as a human-relevant model to study the effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals on steroidogenesis. She obtained her Master’s degree in June 2026 and started as a PhD student at BITE in August 2026. Her research focuses on developing and optimizing testicular organoids towards a fully functional model capable of supporting germ cell differentiation and spermatogenesis.
