Biography
Emily Delgouffe studied Biomedical Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In her first master year, she joined the Biology of the Testis research group for an internship on the generation of scaffolds for human in-vitro spermatogenesis using 3D-bioprinting. She obtained her Master degree in June 2020. In September 2020, she started as a PhD student at the BITE laboratory where she examined the pubertal development and fertility of boys who underwent a testicular tissue biopsy for fertility preservation.
She defended her PhD thesis entitled "Effects of gonadotoxic treatments on spermatogonial stem cells and their nicheā in May 2025 and is now a postdoctoral researcher in the team.
