The Reproduction & Immunology (REIM) team studies the biology of human reproduction, focusing on infertility, embryo development, implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage, and pre-eclampsia. Using donated human embryos, we investigate the gene regulatory networks and signalling pathways that guide cell lineage decisions in early development.
Our research also explores the dialogue between the embryo and the endometrium during implantation, a process shaped by complex immunological interactions. To support this work, we have developed 3D models of the human endometrium for advanced co-culture studies with human embryos.
